Reach for the Stars

At the Mt. SAC-Randall Planetarium, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity for hands-on learning outside the classroom with real scientists and astronomers. So we created the Reach for the Stars program for disadvantaged schools who cannot afford field trips. This program covers the cost of a field trip to the Mt. SAC-Randall Planetarium including transportation. Last year we were able to help 1,000 students get excited about science and astronomy through this program! 

The Reach for the Stars program is made possible from generous donations from members of the community and businesses.  If you would like to donate, please go to Mt. SAC Foundation and select "Mt. SAC Randall Planetarium Reach for the Stars"  in the designation drop down box. Thank you for helping to inspire the next generation of scientists!  

Schools determined to have the most need and who will make the most of this opportunity will be selected for this program by our committee of earth science educators.
