Planning for Our Future
Letter from the President

As we enter another graduation season – my first as President and CEO of Mt. SAC –
I want to thank you for your efforts to support our students. I am grateful for your
commitment to our shared vision of providing excellent education, teaching and learning
environments.
We recently conducted an external community survey to identify the public’s higher
education priorities. The results, presented to the Board just last month, show the
public values Mt. SAC providing an affordable education.
Working together, we can expand affordable opportunities for local students to earn
college credits, certifications, job skills, or transfer to four-year universities
to complete their degrees.
An essential part of this vision must include maintaining and upgrading your teaching
and learning work environments so that our students can continue to receive the best
of what we have to offer.
Please take a moment to see the community’s feedback and share your input today.
I look forward to continuing this important conversation over the coming weeks with
our internal and external stakeholders. Happy graduation season!
Sincerely,
Dr. Martha Garcia
President/CEO
