Way to Go Joe Award Goes to Purchasing Department

The Way to Go Joe award is a department-to-department award that is passed along quarterly and administered by the Mt. SAC Voices Committee, which is focused on employee recognition across campus.
The Mt. SAC Skilled Craft staff received the Way to Go Joe Award last quarter in recognition of outstanding service. And now, they get to pass the award along to another deserving depart. Skilled Craft chose the Purchasing Department.
“The Mt. SAC Purchasing Department is the engine that keeps the campus going. They offer innovative ideas to solve problems and are always available with sound advice and willing attitude, ” wrote the Skilled Craft Department on their selection.
As their name implies, the Purchasing Department administers all purchasing requests for goods and services from one of the largest community colleges in the state. They have developed guidelines and requirements to ensure the college receives competitive prices for all college purchases.
