Mascot Makeover: Name our Grizzly Bear

After board approval of the new costumed mascot’s look, the Mascot Development Task Force is now going to name the grizzly bear.

Potential names have been gathered and considered since the first survey disseminated last year. The task force prioritized names that were positive, showcased an aspect of the college, reflected qualities that survey respondents had shared were important to  them (including strength, perseverance, intelligence and confidence), and were ideally gender neutral. Please share your opinion on the Top 10 names gathered so far and/or provide your own suggestions now at the Mascot Name Survey.

The survey is open now through Tuesday, June 11, at 11:59 p.m. In addition to naming the grizzly bear, graphics and logos of the grizzly bear will be developed later. Learn more about the project at www.mtsac.edu/mascot.
