The Mt. SAC Robotics Team, led by Professor Martin Mason, won four medals in five competition categories from a field of over 600 robots at the International Robogames held at the San Jose Convention Center on April 20-21.
Competing against both collegiate and industrial entries from six out of seven continents, the team ranked as the highest scoring community college team. Kudos to Yang Pan for her leadership in winning the silver medal for the automated beverage dispensing category and James McCullough for leading the autonomous navigation team to a silver medal along with bronze medals in autonomous one pound and three pound robots. It is through the efforts of programming lead Eric Chor, electronics lead Jason Ortiz, computer vision lead Michael Lu, and systems lead Paco Ma that led to the success at this year's International Robogames.
