Hello! My name is Sara Mestas and I have been a Mountie since 1996. My job (almost) never feels like work. I am thankful everyday that I get to be with students in their educational journey and am a proud Mountie Mentor. Aside from work, I am an animal lover (dogs, cats, chickens), student, and parent. Why do you like participating in the Mountie Mentor Program?
I just like meeting and talking with students. I love hearing student stories and being part of our special programs and activities.
Advice for students:
Take classes you enjoy (there are so many!), love learning, you're never too old to go to school or go back to school, it is okay to make mistakes, and get help before you really need it.
