Bio:
After working for seven years at various community colleges in Southern California as a community college English instructor, I began teaching at Mt. SAC during the fall of 2006 and then had the opportunity to move into an Hourly Instructor position for the Writing Center while it was still housed in two computer classrooms. Since 2008, when the Writing Center officially opened in 26B, I've had the pleasure to watch our team grown from 7 to 40+ tutors and Tutors in Classroom as we have worked together to help thousands of students improve their writing in classes of various subjects here at Mt. SAC.

Why do you like participating in the Mountie Mentor Program?
The Mountie Mentor Meeting program is a great way for students, staff, and faculty to build the Mt. SAC community in a time of connection where we all get to learn from each other and form support networks. 

Advice for students:
Remember that you are not alone when you face challenges and roadblocks. Student support services are all here to help you succeed, so keep on trying . . . don't give up!
