Bio:
My higher education journey began at Mt. SAC with Summer Bridge after graduating from Baldwin Park HS. Starting college, I had no idea what to major in, how to navigate college, or balance the multiple roles I had. The Bridge Program built a solid foundation for me to continue my personal and professional development to be able to transfer to UCLA and become the scholar and professional I am today. Currently my work in Outreach motivates me to serve my community and finish my master's in counseling to continue to work alongside community college students and give back.

Why do you like participating in the Mountie Mentor Program?
I like participating in Mountie Mentor because I get to meet new students and make a human connection. It is always so interesting to me how we all have so much in common and what a positive impact we can have on each other with a genuine conversation.

Advice for students:
Be patient with yourself and your learning journey. You will be where you need to be, if you keep pushing and fighting for what you want. But do not forget to lean on others who care about you and trust the process.
