Bio:
I am a first generation, Latina, daughter of an immigrant. I am very proud of my STEM degree from UCSB because I really defeated all the odds that were against me as a women of color and as a low-income college student. My goal in life is to assist as many students as possible to NOT have to go through the same barriers I faced when I was a student. When I am not working at Mt. SAC,  you can find me at home reading with my cat. 

Why do you like participating in the Mountie Mentor Program?
I love chatting it up with students and getting to know them on a more personal level. It is an excellent way to meet students and other faculty and staff outside of the Equity Center. 10/10 would recommend the Mountie Mentor Program - come through!
