Community Facilities Plan Advisory Committee

Advisory Committee – The Mt. SAC Community Facilities Plan Advisory Committee (CFPAC) plays an instrumental role in providing perspective and building consensus on the core components of the 2018 Educational and Facilities Master Plan (EFMP). The group receives reports on the progress of planning, provides advice on work by the college and our consultants, and makes suggestions for improving our plan as it develops. Furthermore, the committee members play an important role as a conduit to the broader community for the purposes of publicizing participation opportunities and soliciting input, in effect, helping to widen the circle of engagement in the Educational and Facilities Master Plan process.

Purpose

The Community Facilities Plan Advisory Committee (CFPAC) includes representation from key campus officials, all seven board of trustee areas, citizens-at-large, the Chamber of Commerce or business community, K–12 school districts, and other stakeholder institutions or non-governmental organizations (NGO’s). This advisory committee began meeting in fall 2016 to become acquainted with challenges faced by the College as well as the undertaking of the EFMP. As a part of the EFMP, the Committee will be asked to provide feedback at various project junctures, which will be used by the project team to fine-tune recommendations.
