Basic Skills Coordinating Committee Goals

  • Goal 1: Increase the number of students who complete a transfer-level course or a completed degree within two years of enrolling in their first basic skills English or math course (Link to College Goal: 1, 5, 6, 7, and 9)
  • Goal 2: Increase the number of noncredit certificates earned in 2017-18 from the previous year by at least 10% (Link to College Goal: 1, 2, 5, 9, and 13).
  • Goal 3: Increase the number of students who complete a basic skills course (Link to College Goal: 1, 6, and 9).
  • Goal 4: Promote professional development for innovation in teaching that demonstrates student success (Link to College Goal: 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 14). 
  • Goal 5: Create and support interventions and success strategies for basic skills courses (Link to College Goal: 1, 3, 5 and 9).
