ARC – Achievement, Retention,
and Completion Committee

 

Purpose

The ARC Committee supports continuing and completion-stage student success by analyzing and leveraging data and recommending instructional and student success strategies that foster persistence, program completion, and equitable achievement across disciplines.

Function

1. Review and interpret disaggregated data on student persistence, achievement, and completion to identify equity gaps. 
2. Recommend faculty-led instructional strategies, noninstructional practices, and academic structures that support long-term student retention. 
3. Institutionalize and refine effective Guided Pathways innovations such as success teams and case management models. 
4. Recommend equity-minded approaches to curriculum, outcomes, and instructional and noninstructional program planning. 
5. Advocate for professional development for faculty and staff on retention-focused, equity-minded instructional and noninstructional practices. 
6. Collaborate with RIE and Senate committees to ensure equity is sustained across the student academic journey.
