ARC – Achievement, Retention,
and Completion Committee
Purpose
The ARC Committee supports mid-journey and completion-stage student success by analyzing data and recommending instructional strategies that foster persistence, program completion, and equitable achievement across disciplines.
Function
Review and interpret disaggregated data on student persistence, achievement, and completion to identify equity gaps. Recommend faculty-led instructional strategies and academic structures that support long-term student retention. Institutionalize and refine effective Guided Pathways innovations such as success teams and case management models. Coordinate equity-minded approaches to curriculum, outcomes, and instructional program planning. Advocate for professional development on retention-focused, equity-minded instructional practices. Collaborate with RIE and Senate committees to ensure equity is sustained across the student lifecycle.
