What motivated you to go to college? Working on campus, helping students follow their dreams, inspired me to continue my education and practice what I preach.

Describe your college experience as first-generation. My parents always encouraged me to go to college, but nobody in my family was able to really guide me through the process. I knew that I had to reach out for help and look for the support and guidance.

What unique challenges did you face? Working full time and going to school full time was challenging, but my motivation was stronger.

How did you overcome those challenges? Stay focused and create boundaries that align with your dreams.

What did you advise other first-generation students? Make your commitments stronger than your moods. You have what it takes, KEEP PUSHING YOURSELF!
