Certificate of Achievement for the California State University General Education (CSUGE) is designed to certify a student to transfer from Mt. SAC to California State University (CSU) without the need, after transfer, to take additional lower-division general education courses to satisfy university general education requirements. CSU is not an admission requirement for transfer to CSU, nor is it the only way to fulfill the lower-division general education requirements prior to transfer. A minimum of grade of "C-" is required Area A-1: Oral Communication, A-2: Written Communication, A-3: Critical Thinking, and B-4: Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning.
