Animal Science / RVT Scholarships

All of these scholarships are specifically for students in agriculture, animal science or RVT related majors.  We encourage you to apply for any of these scholarships that you feel you are eligible for!  You can't get free money if you don't apply!!!

Mt. SAC Agriculture Departmental Scholarships

These are Scholarships that are only available to Mt. SAC Horticulture/Agriculture Students.  Deadline to apply is April 14, 2026!

• Orange County Farm Bureau Scholarship - Open to all Mt SAC Agriculture related majors. (Apply through the Mt. SAC General Application.)

Animal Science Scholarships

• Purina Feed Greatness Scholarship Program - For students with experience showing or caring for livestock animals (not house pets).  Applications open in March.

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Scholarships

• Robert & Catherine Lagorio Vet Tech / Veterinary Assistant Scholarship - Available to California residents (with preference for San Joaquin County) pursuing veterinary technician or veterinary assistant education.  Up to $2,500.  (Due March 15) 

VTNE Exam scholarship:

This scholarship offered by the Veterinary Emergency Critical Care Society (VECCS) is designed to help students take the VTNE exam.  It offers a stipend of $500 and a 1 year membership to VECCS.  
Applications are open during the following windows:

• October 15th - November 15th
• December 15th - February 15th
• April 15th - May 15th
• July 15th - August 15th

Mt. SAC General Scholarships
