Love ART and want to take THE CLASS to help you understand it better

Do you love art? Looking at art? Making art?

Do you wish you knew more about it, but don’t know where to start? Do you think you may even want to work in an art gallery or museum some day?

Then ARTG20: Art, Artists, and Society is for you – and luckily there’s still time to sign up for Fall 2024!

ARTG20 covers the basics of art history and theory, so that you will understand fine art better, while also learning how museums, art galleries, and arts nonprofits work from the inside out. You’ll get hands on experience learning to curate an exhibition, install artwork, and design a gallery space. This class takes a minimum of three fieldtrips a semester, with transportation provided as needed, so you get OUT OF THE CLASSROOM and into the real world where ART LIVES!

Join us for a fun, inclusive, HANDS-ON learning experience where art is for everyone!

This course is also useful for students interested in careers as professional artists and/or working at museums, commercial art galleries, or arts nonprofits. You will learn about the business in a way that generally isn’t discussed until you transfer to a four year college. Get ahead of the game, then so you can decide what part of the art industry is for YOU!
