Study Abroad Coordinator

The Coordinator of the Global Opportunities (GO!) program (listed as the study abroad coordinator in the faculty contract) is a challenging but exciting and rewarding position.  Currently the Global Opportunities office is offering Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship workshops for students to assist them in obtaining the necessary funds to study abroad.  The GO! office is managing a new study abroad pilot program that will run the last eight weeks of the fall 2014 and spring 2015 semesters.  In addition, the GO! office is soliciting study abroad proposals from faculty for winter and summer sessions.  What, exactly, does that entail?  Here's a list of typical Coordinator duties as complied by Gary Rhodes, Lisa Loberg & Ann Hubbard and published in their article, "The Many Responsibilities of a Study Abroad Administrator or… How About a Pat on the Back and an Aspirin," on http://university.terradotta.com.  Feel free to contact the current GO! Coordinator, Tamra Horton, at x. 6321 for more details.
