Mt. San Antonio College offers a variety of programs designed
to develop or enhance vocational proficiency for which
certificates are awarded upon completion. The possession
of such a certificate is favorably recognized by business
and industry and is frequently a requirement for professional
advancement. Detailed brochures describing certificate
programs are available.
Most certificates will be auto – awarded by the Office
of Admissions and Records. However, those who desire the
IGETC or the CSU certificates must completed an application
to the Admissions office during the last semester of certificate
program.
In all programs, it is required that:
At least half of the required number of units be
taken at Mt. San Antonio College, and
No
course may be applied toward a certificate for which
a grade of less than "C" was obtained
Students
should consult with the department awarding the certificate
in regard to substitution of courses taken at other
institutions for any of those listed.
Certificate programs listed do not necessarily qualify as
specific majors for a two-year A.S. Degree program; however,
most can be readily phased into existing majors. Students
should consult the course descriptions in the College Catalog
to determine prerequisites for each course listed as part
of a certificate program. Consult a counselor for further
information.
Alphabetical listing of Certificate Programs
can be found in the College Catalog.
