The VESL Career Paths Program is a one-semester program designed to prepare Level 5 and 6 students who are looking to get a college degree, advance within their current profession, enter the workforce, or get a better job.  The program consists of 4 classes: VESL Speaking, VESL Writing, Career & Life Planning, and Office Management Skills.

ESU Healthcare Pathways

Levels 1-6, VESL
The ESU Healthcare Pathways courses are designed for ESL students who are interested in taking health career courses in the future to improve their English skills. The courses focus on introducing ESL students to the three health career fields: Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). 
Beginning: Levels 1 & 2, Intermediate: Levels 3 & 4, and Advanced: Levels 5, 6 & VESL

Microcomputer Applications

Levels 4-6, VESL
This is a hands-on advanced computer skills course that covers a variety of applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It also introduces fundamental topics such as hardware configurations, software evaluation, and comparative analysis of documentation. Prior computer knowledge is required.

ESU Accounting and Payroll & Excel for Business

Levels 5-6, VESL
Covers vocabulary, theory, basic payroll and tax accounting concepts, principles, transactions, and operations.  Excel for Business: Lean how to process sales taxes, refunds, discounts, and credits using Excel. Note: This is an ESL course that focuses on vocabulary and concepts related to payroll and taxes.
