Welcome to the Career Center!

We are here to assist you on your path to both academic and career success!  Whether you are undecided about your major/career, need help with a work study question, or need an internship and or a part time position, the Mt SAC Career Center is a great place to start.

We offer a variety of services, including:

  • Career counseling referral
  • Career appointment, One on One with a Career Specialist
  • Career exploration, undecided students choosing majors
  • Assistance with job and internship search
  • Resume and cover letter assistance 
  • Interviewing-remote and in person preparation
  • Counseling courses supporting career decision making process
  • Receive one-on-one assistance with  resume, cover letter, interviewing and general job search  by appointment.
 
 
Career & Major Exploration
  • Understand your strengths and interests to find a career/major that is right for you.                           
  • Take a career assessment with Career Coach Website.    In addition, you can also learn more about the career decision making process here.  
  • Learn more about Careers related to different majors using the "What Can I do with this Major" resource.
  • What should I major in?
  • What do I want to be “when I grow up”?
  • What do I like and how can that be a career?
  • My friends know what they are doing and I don’t really feel certain at all…

CAREER WORKSHOPS-virtual/in person

The Mt SAC Career Center offers in person and virtual career workshop presentations.  Topics include Ramp up your resume, Mountie CareerSource Overview, Redesign your Job Search, Landing the Job!  Linked In Profile Development, Networking 101, Establishing and cultivating your digital presence for employers, Interview preparation and internship 101.  Join and sign up for a zoom or in person session today!

Federal Work Study Program

The Federal Work Study (FWS) program provides part-time jobs for students with financial need, allowing them to earn money while pursuing their education. The program encourages community service work and work related to the student's course of study. Since FWS is federally funded, students must meet eligibility criteria.

Federal Work Study is awarded to qualified students through the Financial Aid Office. You will be notified, through your My Mt. SAC Portal, if you qualify for work-study after you complete your FAFSA.  For questions about financial aid, please contact:
