Basic Tools - Field Service Fundamentals

Introductory course in tool use and material fabrication as applied to field-serviceable equipment. Covers elementary aspects of installation and maintenance with emphasis on safety and proper use of hand and power tools, fasteners, and other hardware.

Electronic Systems Technology

Students will learn the skills required to prepare them for employment with telephone companies, satellite/cable TV providers, electrical contractors, computer networking companies, and home theater/home security retailers. The program consists of three courses taught on Fridays and Saturdays from 8am-3:45pm. Courses consist of Electrical Fundamentals, Cabling and Wiring Standards, and Home Electronic Systems. Students can take the courses in any order and the program is typically offered twice a year. The three courses can be completed in one semester.

Manufacturing and Electrical Systems

Students will learn manufacturing theater including Lean Manufacturing and waste elimination management, components of how to read blueprints, manufacturing and production principles torque, basic assembly techniques, use of materials and manual power tools, safety, electrical systems, troubleshooting electrical circuits, quality control, diagnostics investigation, fundamentals of welding processes, tools for the transportation industry, and business management techniques. The course is approximately 10 weeks long, offered multiple times a year.
