Occupational Therapy Aide

This short-term program is intended to provide students with the skills and knowledge to start a career as an Occupational Therapy Aide. This program will teach students how to assist patients with a variety of injuries under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Occupational Therapy Aides also have the responsibilities for completing non-technical duties such as preparing treatment areas, ordering devices and supplies, and transporting patients under the direction of the Occupational Therapist. Occupational Therapy Aides may be employed in hospitals, nursing care facilities, sports rehabilitation centers, and other healthcare facilities. This program is specifically for noncredit students who are seeking training in the health field for immediate employment. Furthermore, this program will also provide foundational skills and training for students to enter into more advanced health training programs.
