HSR Registration

Summer 2026 - Get registered in TWO steps!

Part 1: Complete the HSR Program Application (Required for All Students)

HSR APPLICATION - ALL STUDENTS

• Please only do this form ONCE per session. If you need to make any changes, email us at hsr@mtsac.edu.
• Parent/guardian consent required
• Use a personal email (not a school email)
• Leave Mt. SAC ID# blank if you don't have one yet or don't remember it (we will look it up)
• Your counselor will review the request and you will be notified via email when they approve or modify it
• Please note that the 2025-26 Academic Year session is full. The 2026-27 Application will open here in late August.

Part 2: Complete the SCE Application (if you don't have a Mt. SAC ID#)

SCE APPLICATION - ONLY IF YOU NEED MT. SAC ID#

Follow the steps below to complete your application:

Before you start

• Use a personal email address (school, iCloud, and Outlook emails often do not work correctly)
• You will complete the application using the student’s information

Quick summary

• Application website: www.mtsac.edu/hsrapp 
• Use a personal email
• Verification link expires in 5 days (email hsr@mtsac.edu if you don't get it)
• You are finished when you enter your PIN

Step 1: Create your account

• Go to www.mtsac.edu/hsrapp 
• Select Start Here
• Enter the student’s information
• Submit the form to create your account

Select “START HERE to Create Account” to create your account

Step 2: Verify your email

• Check your email within about 5 minutes
• Click the verification link
• The link will only work for 5 days

If you do not receive the email:

• Check your spam or junk folder
• Make sure your email was entered correctly
• If needed, create a new account and start over
• Email hsr@mtsac.edu 

Open the email and click the verification link

Step 3: Sign back in and open the application

• Return to www.mtsac.edu/hsrapp 
• Sign in using your email and password
• Scroll to the bottom of the page (skip the Sexual Harassment Training for now)
• Select High School Application

Scroll down and select "High School Application"

Step 4: Complete the application

• Complete all required questions (you may skip the Social Security Number)
• Select your term and agree to the Agreement Statement
• Save your application
• Check for errors
  • If an error appears, complete the missing information and save again

Step 5: Request your PIN

• Select Request PIN once (you will get multiple PINs if you click more than once)
• Check your email for your PIN

If you do not receive your PIN

• Sign back in and make sure all questions were completed and saved
• If anything is missing, the PIN will not be sent
• Email hsr@mtsac.edu if you still don't get the PIN

Step 6: Submit your PIN

• Return to your application
• Enter your PIN
• Press Tab or Enter, then submit

Your portion of the application is now complete!

You will receive your Mt. SAC ID number after your counselor approves your courses.

Check your email!

• Watch for a Smartsheet confirmation to the email you used on the HSR Application
• We will email you if anything is missing
  • Most common missing item = SCE Application (Step #2 above)
• No confirmation email from us yet? Your counselor may still be reviewing your request
• Once your application is complete, we will register you - students do not register themselves

After You're Registered

• Academic Year (Fall-Spring) Students - Watch the orientation video before you start class so you know what to expect
• Summer Students - Required First-Day Orientation
  • Attend a live First-Day orientation with your instructor (Zoom link in Canvas)
  •  Choose one session on the first day: 4pm, 5:30pm, or 7pm
    • If you cannot attend on the first day, make-up orientations are available the first Tuesday & Wednesday at 7pm
  • The Zoom link will be in Canvas after we register you
  • An optional counselor-led orientation will also be offered in June
