The GenShift is designed to build bridges across the generations in a culture where care, curiosity, and collaboration are encouraged. An engaging and formative experience with the goal to build generational competencies and establish a shared understanding of each generation through both reflecting on and challenging established paradigms, engaging experiential activities, intergenerational dialogue, and an action plan to put new skills and ways of thinking into practice.

Join us for a transformative two-hour workshop designed specifically for classified professionals, titled "Communicating for Equity: The Impact of Classified Professionals in Shaping Inclusive Institutions." This interactive session will delve into the profound influence our words have in fostering an environment of inclusion and belonging. Classified professionals will explore and recognize their positionality, power, and privilege within the higher education landscape. Through a series of engaging activities and discussions, participants will develop a deeper understanding of equity and the pivotal role they play in advancing it. This workshop will engage participants for both Breakout Sessions 1 and 2.
