Way To Go Event Services!

The Way to Go Joe Award was given this quarter to Event Services for going above and beyond during the pandemic to protect students and staff.
The Way to Go, Joe! award is a department-to-department award that is passed along quarterly and administered by the Mt. SAC VOICES Committee, which is focused on employee recognition across campus.
The Student Health Services department has chosen to pass on the Way to Go, Joe! award to the Event Services department.
The Event Services group provides technical, logistical, and planning support for all events on campus. This includes space reservations for meetings and special activities, setup of tables, chairs, easels, canopies, sound systems, and other event related equipment. Scheduling and support services are requested through 25Live, the online event management system.
A stement from Student Health Services reads, "Our department has selected Event Services to receive the Way To Go, Joe! Award. Over the years, Student Health Services (SHS) has worked with Event Services for routine and special health education events. However, since the campus closure two years ago until the present day, SHS and our community partners have now had numerous opportunities to work with Event Services even more closely. Their leadership, guidance, assistance, and support were invaluable and integral as the campus established COVID-19 vaccine clinics and testing sites, as Student Health Services returned to campus and established an outdoor clinic, and as we prepared to present virtual and in-person health education events. We are very grateful for their work and collaboration with us."
