AMLA 90  College Preparation Writing for English Language Learners

5 Units (Degree Applicable, CSU, UC)

Prerequisite: AMLA 80 or appropriate placement.

Introduce advanced English Language Learners to academic reading, writing, and communicating while nurturing reflection and critical thinking skills for engaging in college-level course work. Students complete writing assignments based on readings in different genres, utilize synthesized information from on a variety of class sources, and establish a formal writing style in academic English in preparation for college-level writing
