College Champion Award

    • Eligibility for Nomination

      Any Mt. San Antonio College full-time or part-time employee may nominate any other Mt. SAC full-time or part-time employee for a College Champion Award. Part-time employees include permanent staff and adjunct faculty. The College President will determine the number of awards given annually. Employees who have received awards from other campus groups may be nominated again for the College Champion Award.

    • Description of Award

      The College Champion Award recognizes any employee, department, or committee for dedication to one or more of the college’s core values (Student Focus, Equity & Diversity, Integrity, Community Building, Lifelong Learning, and Sustainability & Stewardship). Examples include but are not limited to:

      • Performing at a level above and beyond normal job requirements
      • Demonstrating an exceptional ability to foster collaboration, communication, and cooperation among colleagues
      • Contributing to a program or event that showcases Mt. SAC in the Region, State, or Country
      • Developing a new program or event that positively impacts students or the college community
    • Nomination Process

      Nomination forms are available on the VOICES website and may be submitted online or in person to any VOICES member. The VOICES Committee will collect applications and forward them to the president, who will then make the final selections.

    • Recognition of Awardees

      The award winners will receive a $500 dollar award included in their paychecks, an invitation to breakfast with the president, a unique commemorative trophy, and recognition by the Board of Trustees. Awardees’ names will be featured on the VOICES website and the campus email listserv.
