Eligibility

Be a Transfer Student: You must be transferring from a community college to a four-year university.
Active Participation: You should be actively engaged in the ACES program's activities and requirements.
Have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA

Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, TRIO ACES focuses on improving retention, graduation, and transfer rates. We offer a holistic approach to student development, providing all the support you need to graduate from Mt. SAC and transfer to a four-year institution. What You Can Expect: University Experience: Get a taste of university life by staying at UC Santa Barbara. You'll learn about housing, meal plans, and all the campus resources available to you. Transfer Preparation: Our workshops will cover everything you need to know about transferring, including admissions applications, UC personal insight questions, and financial aid. Higher Education Exposure: Thinking about a master's degree? Our Conquering Your Master’s Degree Workshop will help you envision continuing your education beyond a bachelor's degree. Support and Community: You'll connect with UCSB representatives and student leaders who will show you where to find counseling, tutoring, and community-building opportunities.
