CISW 21 - Secure Web Programming
                with ASP.NET Lecture
                (3.0 units)
Secure Web programming using programming, scripting and markup languages such as XML (eXtensible Markup Language), XHTML (XML HyperText Markup Language), Dynamic HTML, Javascript, AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript and XML), and ASP.NET (Active Server Pages .NET) with VB.NET (Visual Basic .NET) for designing user interfaces, processing user input, and accessing Web servers and databases.

Student must also be enrolled in CISW 21L - Secure Web Programming with ASP.NET Lab , a concurrent lab co-requisite.
(54 hours lecture   Degree applicable)
Co-requisite:   CISW 21L - Secure Web Programming with ASP.NET Lab
Advisory Prerequisite:   CISB 15 - Microcomputer Applications

Course Measurable Objectives:

  1. Compare and contrast different Web programming languages, scripts, and plain HTML to create Web pages.
  2. Design Web pages with cascading style sheets.
  3. Define valid XML documents.
  4. Design GUI interfaces to access Web servers.
  5. Select appropriate management tools for Web pages and sites.

Course Level Student Learning Outcomes:


Students completing CISW 21 - Secure Web Programming with ASP.NET Lecture will be able to:
  1. understand decision statements (if/else constructs) in Javascript programming language.
  2. create a Dynamic Hypertext Markup Language DHTML web page using HTML and Javascript.
