Laboratory to design, configure, and implement firewall to secure enterprise, medium, and
small businesses networks. Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) with intrusion
prevention system (IPS) and Linux firewall with IPS integration. Site to site
and remote client Virtual Private Network (VPN), Access Control Lists (ACL), content
filtering, Confidentiality Integrity Availability (CIA), Radius, and Certificate
Authentication (CA). Cisco ASA and Linux firewall troubleshooting technique.
Student must also be enrolled in
CISS 25 - Network Security and Firewalls Lecture
, a concurrent lecture co-requisite.

Course Measurable Objectives:
- Implement Cisco ASA with IPS and Linux firewalls with IPS in network design.
- Install and monitor authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA).
- Install and configure VPN with L2TP, PPTP, TLS, and SSL access to Cisco ASA.
- Configure Cisco ASA with ASDM and Linux firewalls with web interface management.
- Deploy Access Control Lists (ACL) and implement content filtering.
