businesses networks. Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) with intrusion
prevention system (IPS) and Linux firewall with IPS integration. Site to site and remote
client Virtual Private Network (VPN), Access Control Lists (ACL), content filtering,
Confidentiality Integrity Availability (CIA), Radius, and Certificate Authentication (CA).
Cisco ASA and Linux firewall troubleshooting technique.
Student must also be enrolled in
CISS 25L - Network Security and Firewalls Lab
, a concurrent lab co-requisite.

Course Measurable Objectives:
- Design network securities with Cisco ASA and Linux firewalls.
- Explain technical details of authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA).
- Design VPN with L2TP, PPTP, TLS, and SSL access to Cisco ASA and Linux firewalls.
- Design Cisco ASA configurations with ASDM and Linux firewalls with web interface management.
- Design Access Control Lists (ACL) and content filtering in firewalls.
