Course Measurable Objectives:
- Select, plan and install a Linux distribution.
- Choose and install appropriate graphical user interface.
- Evaluate, choose and manage hardware and software for a Linux environment.
- Choose and customize Linux shells.
- Identify important Linux system administrator functions.
- Select and employ efficient management of user accounts and groups.
- Select and configure tools to manage Linux system resources.
- Design and manage printing services and other local services.

Course Level Student Learning Outcomes:
Students completing CISN 31 - Linux Operating System Lecture will be able to:
- install a well-known Linux distribution as a workstation operating system.
- connect their Linux workstation to a network and the internet and run a word processing program.
