Inserting or Modifying Link to E-mail Address
|
OmniUpdate provides an easy way to add email links with predetermined
subject lines for easy sorting on your end. The first steps to create an
an e-mail link are similar to creating local and external links.
- Decide where you want the link, whether on the global left
navigation menu, the contact information area, or the main content area.
Add E-mail Link to Left Navigation Menu or Contact Information Area

SELECT any page within your main Web site or sub-section Web site, depending upon on which left navigation menu you want to create the link. Remember: the left navigation menu is global to all pages within the same Web site folder.

CLICK
edit left navigation button or the edit information area button.

PLACE your cursor and TYPE
the name of the person or group receiving the email or type out the full email address where you want to create the link.

HIGHLIGHT
the descriptive word(s) with your cursor or
place your cursor in an existing link.The link icons in the top right
section of the tool bar should become active if they aren't already.

CLICK on the insert/edit mailto link icon (letter icon). The Mailto Link Manager box will open.

TYPE the email address.

ADD a subject line if you want.

CLICK Insert button to complete the link creation. The editable area that you are working in will now appear with an active link.
- Continue adding links. When you are done,
SAVE
and then
PUBLISH
the page.

CLICK on View Page New Window and TEST the link.
Add E-mail Link to Main Content Area

SELECT the specific page
on which you want to create a link to another page within your Web site or sub-section Web
site.

CLICK
edit main content button.

PLACE your cursor and TYPE
the name of the person or group receiving the email or type out the
full email address where you want to create the link. The link icons in
the top right section of the tool bar should become active if they
aren't already. FOLLOW steps 4 through 10 above.
