Disability Claims Information

The AMVETS organization is a founding supporter of college Veterans services in Southern California. The Mt. SAC Veterans Services Center has established a partnership with AMVETS in an effort to bring support to our community’s Veterans by helping them navigate the transition to civilian life.  Through this partnership, a College Transition Program Service Officer from AMVETS will be available throughout the academic year to visit with student Veterans on and individual and group basis. During the visit, the representative is available to explain and assist with:

  • Information on disability compensation;
  • Healthcare benefits; and
  • Other entitlements available to Veterans.

Though Mt. SAC has our own Certifying Officials who will help student Veterans with Educational Benefits, AMVETS Service Officers are here to assist with accessing all other benefits and entitlements that a Veteran has earned through service.
