Mt. SAC has definitely made a difference in Ryan Asao’s life.

Today Ryan is a San Gabriel Valley real estate agent with annual sales of $15 million. He also currently serves as the president of the Arcadia Board of Realtors and on the Mt. SAC Foundation Board of Directors. Much of what he has accomplished he credits to Mt. SAC.

“Mt. SAC provided me with the foundation for my success,” Ryan says. “If it wasn’t for my experiences at Mt. SAC, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

After high school, Ryan bypassed college and immediately went to work making badges for law enforcement and public services officials. It paid the bills, but Ryan wanted more. That’s when he enrolled at Mt. SAC.

Ryan finds the experiences in his classes provide practical application to the life he’s living today. One such example is Ryan’s speech class at Mt. SAC, which gave him the confidence to become a public speaker. He didn’t know at the time he was taking the class that he would later become the president of a Toastmasters chapter in Arcadia.

“Mt. SAC gives a lot of people the opportunity to go to college and make something of themselves,” says Ryan. “Mt. SAC gave me the opportunity to find myself and explore what I really wanted to do.”

And today, Ryan Asao is doing it—practicing what we teach!
