Dennis Cockrum received his M.A. in Dramatic Arts from Eastern Michigan University, where he also served as guest lecturer/director. He has been a professional actor for over thirty years. Broadway: Frost/Nixon, by Peter Morgan, Bernard B. Jacobs Theater. Regional: (Sample) Dead End by Sidney Kingsley, Ahmanson Theater, L.A.; Of Equal Measure by Tanya Barfield, Kirk Douglas Theater, Culver City; Our Town, Steppenwolf Theater, Chicago; Lincoln Park Zoo by Richard Strand, Geva Theater, Rochester, N.Y., and Tobacco Road, American Blues Theater, Chicago. Television: (Recurring) Uncle Buck, Cop Rock, West Wing, American Dreams, The King of Queens, Boston Legal, Malcolm in the Middle and Firefly. He recently finished his fourth season as Terry Milkovich in Shameless on Showtime. Films: (Sample) Gangster Squad, Angels in Stardust, Uncle Buck, Code of Silence, The Package, Murder by Numbers, Daddy Day Care, The Glimmer Man, Rebound, and Paparazzi. Dennis has directed at regional theaters across the country. At Mt. Sac he directed Tartuffe: Born Again, by Freyda Thomas. Mr. Cockrum is a proud member of A.F.T.R.A., S.A.G., and A.E.A., as well as the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
