| Most classes have basic skill prerequisites
that must be assessed prior to registration. Assessment must
be completed prior to your registration date. |
| Please file your application for
admission as early as possible and then take your placement
tests to facilitate early registration. |

| To
schedule your appointment |
- Determine the test required for the courses in
which you plan to enroll.
- Determine the days and times most convenient
for you to be tested.
- Call or come to the Assessment Center to make
an appointment. Tell the Assesment Center personnel which
test you need to take. They will assist you by providing
a list of scheduled tests. From this list you can choose
a date and time which is most convenient for you.
- On the day of the test, come to the designated
room ten to fifteen minutes early. You must bring a photo
I.D. and you Social Security card (for your student number).
A photo I.D. is required to obtain a printout of your course
eligibility.

| Who is Exempt from the Placement
Tests? |
| You are exempt (but not prohibited)
from taking the Assessment Test to determine your eligibility
for Mathematics and English prerequisites if: |
- You are enrolling exclusiveley in Adult Education, Community
Education, or up to 15 units of credit courses that do not
have prerequisites.
- You verify completion of the prerequisites at Mt San Antonio
College or other accredited institutions.
- You verify other college-acceptable test scores.
- If you can verify completion of an A.A., A.S., ot higher
degree from an accredited, English-based institution. You
would be considered eligible, at a minimum, for English
68 and Math 51. Eligibility for higher levels must be documented
with transcipts.
- You verify eligibility for CSU or UC as determined
by CSU or UC. You would be considered eligible, at a minimum,
for English 68 and Math 51. Eligibility for higher levels
must be documented with transcipts.
