- What is FLEX?
FLEX Days are faculty specific training dates held twice yearly, once during Fall Semester and once during Spring Semester. The activities offered during these training days are listed on the POD Calendar. - How do I apply for POD Conference & Travel Funding?

- What is the Professional & Organizational Development (POD) Department?
Professional and Organizational Development supports Mt. SAC programs and services by providing professional learning opportunities for all employees. POD offers year-round activities for Classified, Faculty and Managers.
- Where is the Professional & Organizational Development (POD) Department located?
POD is located in Building 6, Suite 140 (Library Building). Enter the building via the sliding doors on the South side. The door to POD suite is located between the Information booth and the elevator.
- Can POD Facilities/Training Rooms be reserved?
POD Facilities/Training Rooms can be reserved through Lotus Notes Resource Reservation. All requests for use of POD Rooms must be training focused and/or professional development specific.
- How do I propose offering an activity/event/training through POD?
Please visit the Schedule an Activity Form to submit your request directly to POD for review/processing. If you have any questions, we can be reached at x4504, Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm and Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
- What is Salary Advancement Credit (SAC)?
Salary Advancement Credit is Column Crossover credit earned through district sponsored workshops completed prior to July 1, 2016. For more information, please refer to section A.8.c. of the Faculty Contract or visit the Salary & Leaves Pre-Approved Courses and Workshops page.
- What is Professional Growth Increment Credit?
Professional Growth Increment Credit is awarded to full-time faculty only. For more information, please refer to section A.6. of the Faculty Contract.
- What is a Professional Growth Benefit?
Professional Growth Benefit credit is credit awarded to Classified employees that count toward a lower division benefit. For more information, please refer to section 20.02 of the Classified Contract
- How do I register for an activity (i.e. event, workshop, etc.) through POD?
Please visit the POD Calendar to view upcoming activities. To register, use your Mt. SAC Portal username and password to access the POD application.
