Laurie Hartman earned a BFA in Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology. She then spent the next six years working as an advertising photographer in New York City. She relocated to Orange County where for twenty years, she operated a successful commercial photography studio specializing in food and beverage imagery for local and national advertising, corporate, and editorial clients including CKE Restaurants (Carl’s Jr., Green Burrito, Hardees, La Salsa), Taco Bell, Marie Callender’s Restaurants, BJ’s Restaurants, Bon Appetit Magazine, Con Agra Foods, and Yankee Publishing.
Laurie ‘s teaching experience includes positions at Santa Monica College, Cypress College, and California State University/Fullerton. Laurie joined the faculty at Mt. San Antonio College as a full-time professor in 2007. In addition to teaching photography classes, she oversees the Photography Program and serves as Co-Chair of the Commercial and Entertainment Arts Department.
