Mt. SAC’s Tutorial
Services Program is committed to helping students succeed
not only in their classes, but in all areas of their education.
Our tutors, many of whom are advanced students, help their
tutees develop effective study skills and strategies,
and they provide encouragement and motivational support.
Offered through
the Learning
Assistance Center,
the drop-in and study group tutoring services are offered
for free. Regularly scheduled tutors help students with
their course work in most subject areas as well as speedreading
techniques and instruction on how to develop a personalized
study plan.
The Center’s Learning
Lab computers are available to all students in the community.
The computers enable students to use the Internet for
research, to telecommunicate with instructors through
e-mail, view multimedia programs, word process documents,
develop multimedia research projects, and supplement classroom
activities through computer-assisted instruction.
