FINANCIAL AID

Mt. SAC offers a variety of financial aid programs funded by the federal and state governments and private sources, including the Mt. SAC Foundation. These programs are available to eligible students to help meet the cost of attending college. Aid programs include grants, work-study opportunities, scholarships and loans. All students may be eligible for some form of assistance based on their financial need.

You may apply for aid by filing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. This form is available in the Financial Aid Office or you may file online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Federal financial aid forms are available in January for the following academic year. Students must reapply for financial aid every year. The Cal Grant filing deadline is March 2nd for the following academic year. September 2nd is the second opportunity to file for a Cal Grant for community college students only. Students may continue to apply for financial aid throughout the school year provided they are enrolled.
