1. Apply:
Complete a Mt. SAC Application
for Admission (available online
and in the Schedule of Classes). Send or bring it to
the Admissions
& Records Office. You must submit official transcripts
fro all accredited, high schools, colleges and trade
schools
attended. A permit to register will be mailed to you.
It will tell you your assigned registration date and
time.
2. Get Assessed:
Schedule and take your course placement tests at the Assessment
Center on campus. Call (909) 594-5611,
ext. 4265. Most classes have basic skill prerequisites
that must be assessed prior to registration. You must
complete your assessment after your application for admission
has been processed and before your orientation and registration
date.
3. Attend
Orientation: Attend an orientation
session. Both
new students and first-time transfer students from other
colleges must attend orientation before registering for
classes unless otherwise exempted. To schedule an appointment,
call ext. 5913.
4. Get Counseled
and Advised: Our trained counselors can help
you if you:
- Don’t have a major or are undecided
about a career choice
- Need help with vocational/career
plans
- Need to choose a university or college
for transfer
- Have personal problems that impact
your college success

5. Register:
You can register online
or by phone: (909) 595-6722. Before you do, we suggest
that you:
- Prepare a tentative class schedule
using your Schedule Planning Worksheet provided in your
printed Schedule of Classes.
- Check for course prerequisites and
corequisites, making sure you have satisfied the requirements.
- Register for required corequisites
(courses that must be taken during the same term as
the courses originally chosen)
6. Pay Your Fees:
If you register by telephone or in person, fees must
be paid within seven business days from the day you
registered.
You may make your payment by credit card through Telephone
Registration, by mail, by drop box, online or in person.
