Mt. SAC sponsors two
chapters of prestigious honors societies:
Phi Theta Kappa,
an international scholastic honorary organization for
America’s two-year colleges. Full and part-time
students who have completed 12 appropriate degree units
with a 3.5 GPA are eligible for membership.
Alpha Gamma Sigma,
the statewide scholastic honorary organization for California
Community Colleges. Members must achieve and/or maintain
a 3.0 GPA in degree-appropriate units. Membership requires
campus and community involvement (service hours).
Mt. SAC has the state’s
largest AGS chapter in the state.
Honors members are recognized
with distinction at Mt. SAC’s commencement ceremony.
