Five Mt. SAC Honors students were invited to present research projects at the Southern California Conference for Undergraduate Research (SCCUR) held Nov. 18 at Cal Poly Pomona.

The research presentations covered a range of topics, including computational analysis, genetically modified organisms, and the 1913 Alien Land Act. Four Mt. SAC students–Michelle Ravel, Samiha Shaheed, Ruben Ilan, and Xingyi Cao–made research presentations, while the fifth student, Corey Case, could not attend the conference.

The annual SCCUR research conference is open to undergraduate students at four-year universities and community colleges. Presenters are chosen based on the quality of the abstracts submitted for consideration.
