June 27, 2017 - 01:43 PM
The Mt. SAC Agricultural Sciences Department will open its doors to the public for the college's annual Farm Day on Saturday, May 6, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Mt. SAC farm.
A day of great outdoor activities for the entire family is planned for this free event, which will include farm tours, hay rides, a barbecue, plant sale, and a lot more fun. Visit with the equine, porcine, and bovine residents on campus and get your photo taken with your favorite animal. Cool down on the farm’s water slide or take in the dairy milking demonstration.
Mt. SAC’s Agricultural Sciences Department offers a comprehensive program in animal science, horticulture, and veterinary technician instruction. Facilities include an equine center, livestock pavilion, horticulture unit, and its state-of-the-art veterinary technician facility.
