The Wellness Center houses a variety of exercise equipment including
treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals, stairmasters, rowing
machines, exercise balls, Bosu balance trainers and Cybex / Paramount
strength training equipment.
The aerobic room has a beautiful hardwood shock
absorbent floor that can accommodate up to fifty people. A variety of
classes are offered 7 days a week including yoga, cardio dance, cardio
hoop, step, body contouring and kickboxing.
The cardio/circuit training room has a variety
of equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, stairmasters, a
stepmill, stationary bikes, exercise balls, medicine balls, Bosu balance
trainers and a full line of Paramount and Cybex strength equipment.
The hydrostatic weighing tank is a stainless
steal tank used to perform underwater measurement of body composition.
Hydrostatic weighing is considered the gold standard method of assessing
body composition. The purpose behind the test is to determine body
density by measuring a person's mass--dry weight on a scale, and a
person's volume--under water weight. Water temperature is kept at a
comfortable 86 degrees.
