Emergency Medical Technician

Emergency Medical
Technicians may work on ambulances for private
or public agencies.
Paramedic
Paramedics may choose private
ambulance service or transition into the fire department
as a Fire Fighter Paramedic.
Physician's Assistant
Through completion
of the Physician Assistant Preparatory Program
and other course requirements, students may enter
a variety of advanced medical service careers.
Physical Therapy Aide
Physical
Therapy Aides may advance to the level of Physical
Therapy Assistant or Physical Therapist by completing
additional course/degree requirements. Aides also
who work closely with rehabilitation professionals
to assist patients of all ages to improve walking and
other movement skills.
Service
learning offers health career oriented students
an opportunity to link academic studies to community
based projects.
These skilled professionals,
working as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs),
Paramedics, and Physician Assistants (PAs), actively
use their knowledge of medical care, their ability
to interact with patients and other healthcare
professionals, and their command of the latest
technologies to achieve the best outcomes
for their patients.
