Major fields of employment are; civil, mechanical, electrical, aeronautical, structural and architectural design drafting. Although accomplished design technicians usually specialize, our programs prepare graduates for entry-level positions in all principal areas of employment. While engineering firms are the largest employers of engineering design technicians, other employers include metal fabricators, manufacturing and construction industries, electrical and electronics equipment companies, government agencies, landscape architects and surveyors.
