Jean received her R.V.T. license in 1977 and immediately started working in an equine practice. Eventually, she began to work with a dairy cow practitioner, where her responsibilities were to assist in embryo transplants in purebred Holstein cattle.
She then became a Senior Research Technician at Loma Linda Medical Center, working for the department of Anesthesia performing laboratory studies involving hypertension and strokes.
For eight years, Jean worked at Mt. SAC as a part-time technician and Vivarium unit manager. In 1997, Jean began her tenure as a Mt. SAC professor and Director of the Registered Veterinary Technology Program. Some of her duties include advising for the Veterinary Technology Club, recruiting new students, organizing and supervising club fundraisers, and maintaining the required reports and documentation for the R.V.T. program |
